Aegean RIBS boats – Giorgos Ioannou

Giorgos Ioannou, manufacturer of Aegean RIBS boats, participates in the exhibition Thessaloniki Boat & Fishing Show 2023, 20 – 22 October, at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre.

Giorgos Ioannou, a polynikis underwater fishing athlete, owner of the Underwater Hobby shop, builds Aegean inflatable boats, now known to the public.

After the successful establishment in the special audience of the area, since 2000 he entered the field of building inflatable boats oriented to the diving use. In 2002 the 1st specially designed inflatable RIB boat intended for snorkelers, the AEGEAN 444, was launched on the market. The boat was a great commercial success and ranked 1st in sales in its class in Greece and not only. Other models followed with great success, making AEGEAN RIBS famous even abroad where exports are still being made.

Today the AEGEAN RIBS models range from 3.60 to 11 meters and have a flexible design and construction according to customer needs.

George Ioannou was born in Piraeus, is a free diving instructor of the Hellenic Federation, former Greek underwater fishing champion and member of the national team with participation in world and pan-European championships. He is an experienced speedboat operator and sailor.
